This workshop will introduce you to the art of rest - to benefit you even in the midst of your most hurried days. You will learn how to pause, breathe and think like its nobody's business! Allowing yourself to do NO THING for a few minutes every day is not easy, but oh so sweet!
This does not mean that NO THING is happening. A lot is going on when you assume the famous ('alexandrian') balanced state of deep rest: your neck and back muscles will release and your spine will decompresses. Your nerves calm down. Your senses awaken to yourself and the space you are in. You can find your center.
All striving comes to a temporary halt, and your nervous system can take a break from producing unnecessary stress hormones due to unrelenting internal and external noise. This will strengthen your capacity for peace of mind and equanimity.
The beauty of this practice is that it works effortlessly. It will bring you into harmony with aspects of our human nature that are calm, inquisitive, open, expansive and inclusive.
Come and learn the "Active Rest" based on the teachings of the Alexander Technique.
