​HELLO, I AM FLORA!

I am a long-time Alexander Technique, posture and movement educator who has worked with hundreds of people relieve tension and unease while simultaneously improving their postural freedom.

I am passionate about empowering you to make living in your body the best experience possible, and raising awareness of the innate ability your ancient body has for self-renewal and skillful movement. ​

Unfortunately back pain, joint disorders and stress have taken epic proportions, and I believe a huge factor is an overall lack of holistic posture education and embodied self-connection in our digitalized life.


I also believe the whole topic of posture has to be brought out of the shadows. It has to be de-stigmatized, reimagined and reclaimed by each of us if we want to feel great with a well-functioning body, and for that, curiosity and depth are the guiding light in everything I do and teach to empower you.

There is no YouTube video that's going to solve all your problems in five minutes.

It's about learning about yourself, getting the 'user manual' for your body so you can improve how you use yourself everyday. This is truly what is needed. Are looking for quick fix solutions. You're not really interested in going deep into mindset and motivation to understand the root cause of your issues. This is totally ok, but I would not be the right coach for you.

Just want more posture exercises to fix your problems. ​My experience of over 20 years of teaching and coaching shows that working with isolated muscle groups through gym-style exercises cannot address the root cause, because tension is foremost a whole-body behavior issue and not a problem of fitness.

​Long-term strategies  Some of the tools in this program will offer instant relief. However, the goal is to work towards long-term, sustainable change and professional longevity. Improve and prevent conditions such as chronic ‘text neck’, head-forward posture, kyphosis and other joint dysfunction, so you don’t have to worry about your body and can concentrate on doing your best work.

Find The Root Cause of Your Tension  What lies at the heart of all body tension? It's not your body or your muscles but the way you unconsciously think and move. Tension patterns operate in the background and are amplified during hours of sitting still each day. Together we'll bring your patterns into daylight so they can transform into new vitality.

Tools to engage with setbacks  There will be times of increased stress when some tension returns and this is totally normal. But worry not because you'll know what to do (and not to do) to release it again. Learn how to deal with setbacks without getting discouraged, and stay motivated even when you’re busy with work.

Trouble-Shooting  Each week we’ll assess improvements in pain levels, alignment, and overall comfort while continuing to trouble-shoot and fine-tune your growing body awareness. Learn to integrate your new awareness into your workflow even if you don’t have much time to focus on yourself. At the end of the program you’ll have the right tools to not only help you notice the onset of tension but also what to do about it.

Sessions are cumulative, and move you towards more self-awareness and freedom from tension.​

MINDSET SHIFT  Discover why tension and pain doesn't just happen, and how thinking about your body in new ways can effectively eliminate your suffering. Discover small mindset shifts to change the way your body feels and responds, and why you don't need to use tension to hold yourself upright.

RECLAIM RESPONSIBILITY  Together we'll identify your daily habits that are contributing to your discomfort and offer your body improved ways and a sense of control over yourself. how you can redirect yourself.

MOVEMENT PRINCIPLES  Learn how to move your body in relation to your chair, table & devices as you release tension and pain. Learn the art of ​Body Mapping to help restore body function, balance and coordination in ways that positively affect your entire life.

LONG-TERM STRATEGIES  Let's analyze your favorite workspaces (home, office, cafe or even park bench) so you can learn how to deal with unsupportive furniture as you set up your desk environment for success. Get tips for self-care at work and how to take breaks that restore your energy.

SESSION FREQUENCY  8 sessions a 90 Minutes (NOTE: If your schedule doesn't allow to meet each week I am happy to accommodate and extend the timing.)
