WE MAY NOT  BE, IF YOU ARE:

Looking for quick fix solutions. You're not really interested in going deep into mindset and motivation to understand the root cause of your issues. This is totally ok, but I would not be the right coach for you.

Wanting just more posture exercises to fix your problems. ​My experience of 25 years of teaching and coaching shows that working with isolated muscle groups through gym-style exercises cannot address the root cause, because tension is foremost a whole-body-behavior issue and not a problem of fitness.

I am aware that we're culturally and generationally confronted by a persistent but outdated paradigm that says chronic tension can be permanently eliminated and posture perfected by holding, fixing or stretching the body in certain ways. But experience shows that this approach will only produce more tension over time.

Empowering, Fundamental Shifts in Awareness  Let go of common posture misconceptions so you can stop faulting your body for your pain. Discover the real challenges your body encounters while trying to support you - and what to do about them without getting overwhelmed by details.

​Long-term strategies  Some of the tools in this program will offer instant relief. However, the goal is to work towards long-term, sustainable change and professional longevity. Improve and prevent conditions such as chronic ‘text neck’, head-forward posture, kyphosis and other joint dysfunction, so you don’t have to worry about your body and can concentrate on doing your best work.

Find The Root Cause of Your Tension  What lies at the heart of all body tension? It's not your body or your muscles but the way you unconsciously think and move. Tension patterns operate in the background and are amplified during hours of sitting still each day. Together we'll bring your patterns into daylight so they can transform into new vitality.

Tools to engage with setbacks  There will be times of increased stress when some tension returns and this is totally normal. But worry not because you'll know what to do (and not to do) to release it again. Learn how to deal with setbacks without getting discouraged, and stay motivated even when you’re busy with work.

Trouble-Shooting  Each week we’ll assess improvements in pain levels, alignment, and overall comfort while continuing to trouble-shoot and fine-tune your growing body awareness. Learn to integrate your new awareness into your workflow even if you don’t have much time to focus on yourself. At the end of the program you’ll have the right tools to not only help you notice the onset of tension but also what to do about it.

MOVEMENT PRINCIPLES  Discover how to move your body in relation to your chair, table & devices that doesn't produce effort and tension. Learn the important art of ​Body Mapping to help restore body function, balance and coordination in ways that positively affect your entire life.

LONG-TERM STRATEGIES  We will ergonomically analyze your favorite workspaces (home, office, cafe or even park bench) so you can better deal with unsupportive furniture as you set up your desk environment for success. Get tips for self-care at work and how to take breaks that restore your energy.
