Flora D.H. Ojanen
Flora graduated from the Berkeley Educational Center and has taught the Alexander Technique since 2002. Flora is a teaching member of the American Society for the Alexander Technique.
Besides raising two small children, Flora is a long-time student of chinese Martial Arts as well as a certified Yoga Teacher. She studies and teaches both in an integrated way for health and longevity.
Considerations
As a teacher, I do not diagnose or treat specific physical conditions. I educate my students in the principles of the work of F.M. Alexander and help to develop the awareness necessary for change.
The Technique does not belong to any philosophy or belief system. Its theory is supported by the medical community and neuroscientific research on the technique is continuing.
Doctors familiar with this work recommend it to their patients. If your doctor does not yet know about the Alexander Technique I will be happy to provide any information you request.
Certification
The American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) ensures the highest standards of professional practice and conduct. AmSAT certification represents at least 1600 hours or 3 years of intense training.
